A website dedicated to regulation

The Luxembourg Regulatory Institute entrusted us with the mission of designing its new website. The challenge was clear: to redefine the user journey by consolidating various content and simplifying access.

Additionally, we developed an optimised page composition system to make content integration easier.

Structuring the Essentials

A content strategy
for clarity

To optimise the user journey, we conducted a series of card sorting workshops with representatives from each business sector. These workshops were designed to gain deeper insights into their specific content needs, priorities, and organisational logic. By involving stakeholders directly in this collaborative process, we ensured a thorough understanding of their expectations and challenges.

Laying the Foundation

Wireframing
the project's core

After defining the site structure, we developed various wireframes to clearly organize the sections and prioritize their importance. This step was crucial in validating the coherence and impact of the proposed solution.

Blending Aesthetics and Functionality

A design
for the user

The design challenge was to create a visual identity that is both modern and minimalist, while ensuring full alignment with accessibility standards and the content aggregation solution. This approach led to the development of an elegant and streamlined interface that enhances navigation, while meeting accessibility requirements for all users, including those with disabilities.

The goal was to create a seamless user experience, where every visual element and functionality is carefully integrated to improve usability and information access.

Building a Cohesive Visual Identity

An accessible
UI Kit

We developed a UI kit for ILR, which brings together a series of pre-configured design elements, enabling designers and developers to create consistent and efficient user interfaces. This kit includes a variety of visual elements tailored to ILR's brand identity, incorporating its primary and secondary colors, logo, typography, and more.

Additionally, the UI kit was developed in compliance with the WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards, ensuring that all elements are accessible to users with disabilities. This approach guarantees that the design is not only visually appealing but also inclusive, providing an optimal experience for all users.

Bringing the Vision to Life

The development phase
in action

The new website was designed to centralise and structure content, reducing duplication and improving discoverability. With an optimised framework, information is easier to manage, update, and search, ensuring a seamless user experience while maintaining long-term scalability and organisation.

  • Accessibility & Content Management: to enhance accessibility, the client revised thousands of assets, ensuring compliance with modern standards. We facilitated this by developing a mass import solution for bulk uploads while preserving content structure. We then developed a suite of custom widgets tailored to the brand’s identity, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive content creation experience. Each widget was designed to simplify content management while maintaining visual and functional consistency. To guarantee accessibility, we followed the latest standards, ensuring that all users, including those with disabilities, can interact seamlessly with the tools.

  • Roles & Permissions: a custom roles and permissions system was created to define and control user access levels. This ensures that contributors can manage content securely while preventing unauthorised modifications. By structuring roles efficiently, we improve workflow management, safeguard information, and maintain a controlled content environment.

  • Automated Newsletter Generation: to simplify content distribution, we built an automated newsletter system that dynamically compiles new content by sector. This reduces manual effort while ensuring relevant updates are delivered efficiently. By automating the process, the client can engage audiences consistently without additional workload.

Guiding users in their content research

Advanced search &

suggestions

  • A powerful search engine with multiple filters allows users to find content efficiently based on relevance and selected criteria. To further streamline discovery, we implemented an accessible autocompletion widget that provides intelligent suggestions, improving the search experience and making navigation faster and more intuitive.
